Captain James T Kirk. The definitive starship captain. For me, there is no-one else who even comes close. He is charismatic, ingenious and always ready for action.

Picards OK and I dont dislike him, but he does far too much talking and negotiating around the table, when a good old phaser blast gets the job done much quicker.

As far as DS9 is concerned, its unbelievably boring and Sisko is too bland for my liking. Major Kira never stops moaning and definitely could do with some Prozac.Whilst its predecessors boldly go to strange new worlds, DS9 stays put and boldly goes nowhere at all.

Voyager is more true to the original, even if Janeway has got an annoying voice. When you get used to it, it really is a good series, (especially now that seven of nine is in it - but dont tell the wife I like her).

As for the current Next Gen movie, Insurrection, it was OK and would have made a good two part episode when Next Gen was still airing, but sadly, as a movie there wasn't enough action to keep me interested.
